SHEARS
The Professional Mark of Excellence
U.S. Patent # 5,813,417
It's
a Shear Revolution!
Dating
back to 200 B.C., the high tech craft of creating shears was
among the highest valued trades. Shears were considered works
of art, and were known to be so elaborate that many pairs
of bronze shears were inlaid with colored metals depicting
Greco-Roman figures. Early Egyptian aristocracy possessed
the finest in decorative and high quality craftsmanship shears.
Barbers catering
to royalty in England and Spain became famous for the “high
tech” instrument. The first pair of modern cast-steel
shears was made in England in 1761. Few instruments have lasted
this long without a change in basic design.
